I have always believed in the importance of Paying It Forward and giving back. I have been involved with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life since 1998, I became the Event Chair in 2002 and have watched our community join together to SHARE HOPE. We had over 5,000 people attend our most recent event! I've also served as an Ambassador on the Chamber of Commerce and am a graduate of the Leadership Class. I have served on the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville Board of REALTORS® for over five years now.
I take great joy in helping people. That is ONE of many reasons of why became a REALTOR®. I don't sell houses. I help YOU find or sell your HOME. I provide a service to help you achieve your goals. My "job" is to educate you so you may make informed decisions. This is just another way for me to serve our community and I truly love what I do.
I proudly served our country as a Sergeant in the Marine Corps. I am married to a Marine who has recently retired. I have served abroad. I have struggled with fear and worry while my husband was in the Pentagon on 9/11 and again while he served in Iraq. We purchased our first home while I was seven months pregnant with our daughter, who was prematurely born just two days after we moved in. We were one of the many families who were told on a Wednesday that our loved one was leaving on Monday for Iraq. STRESS!
I say all of this because I want you to know that I do understand many of the stresses that come with buying or selling real estate. Unfortunately, these stresses tend to occur while our loved ones are away or preparing to leave. Moving is stressful alone. You may feel comfortable in knowing I don't merely say "I understand"; I MEAN IT.
I love the Marine Corps and firmly believe in "Taking Care of Our Own". I became a REALTOR® so I could make a difference. I love our community. I love how our community has wrapped its arms around the many families who have been left behind while their loved ones are in harm's way. Project CARE was implemented by many members of our community in order to find a way to help these families. To lend a hand when needed...no matter how small.
